# Welcome
**Women make up only 28% of the workforce in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)**, and men vastly outnumber women majoring in most STEM fields in college. The gender gaps are particularly high in some of the fastest-growing and highest-paid jobs of the future, like computer science and engineering
Welcome to this cMOOC proposed by the [ERAMUS+ BRIDGES project](https://bridges.openrecognition.org/).
You will be able to discover many resources and actors that will hopefully inspire you to take action to collectively find solutions to gender inequality in STEM. The cMOOC is contributory, which means that its members contribute to its development.
